“NO! I don’t want to ride a balance bike, I want my little zoomer!” These words were screamed by my three year old as my husband pointed out he had outgrown his tricycle. It was clear to everyone but Teddy that the time had come to master the balance bike. “Mom I just kissed my balance bike good-bye. After all, it has been very good to me, but I’m ready for a pedal bike.” My introspective four year old, Max, murmured as he prepared to try a pedal bike for the first time.
